Italian prototype building models for urban scale building performance simulation

Urban building energy modeling (UBEM) seeks to evaluate strategies optimize use at urban scale support a city's goals. Prototype models are usually developed represent typical characteristics of specific type, construction year, and climate zone, as detailed individual buildings difficult obtain. This study investigated the Italian stock, developing 46 prototypes, based on for residential office buildings. The included 16 single-family buildings, multi-family 14 Building envelope properties heating, ventilation, air conditioning system were defined according existing codes standards climatic zone E, which covers about half municipalities.
